During oral arguments this week, U.S. Supreme Court justices signaled their intention to overturn Chicago’s strictest-in-the-nation handgun ban.

Still, Mayor Daley isn’t giving an inch. In fact, he’s ridiculing the high court for affirming the Second Amendment right to bear arms while sitting in a protective bubble.

“Why can’t I go to the Supreme Court and sit there with a gun and listen to the arguments? If a gun is so important to us on the street or someone’s home, why can’t I go to the Supreme Court and sit there with a gun? I’m not gonna shoot anyone. But, I have a right to that gun,” Daley said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Ed: For your information Mr. Mayor, this isn't about you walking into the Supreme Court with a gun.  No where in the lawsuit does your name surface.  You, contrary to your feeble mind and incredible ego, aren't the center of anyone's attention, including I'm glad to say, even us gun owners.

This is about the City of Chicago denying citizens the right to defend themselves within their homes.  Since you are rich and a politician, you no doubt have protection provided to you paid for compliments of the very people you feel have no need for self-defense.  The reality of life for the rest of us is something you and other 'progressive' politicians are not able to comprehend, which doesn't come as a surprise anyone who reads your diatribe.  This article was posted not to give you credit, or any more attention than you deserve.  It was posted as an example of what runs through the mind of an extreme leftist, statist and socialist arguing silliness.

Have a good day sir and I'm sorry you lost your bid to keep law-abiding citizens unarmed.
