Bloods Gang Member Sentenced for Gun Charges

A 24-year-old Bloods gang member, Jamari Ishman, is sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison for illegal gun possession. His plea follows an incident on March 16th where Edenton police discovered a loaded 9mm handgun in his vehicle after pulling him over for an expired registration.

The police stopped Ishman and noticed signs of marijuana use and gang affiliation, including a red bandana in his back pocket. As a convicted felon with prior serious charges, Ishman is prohibited from possessing firearms, underscoring challenges in curbing gang-related violence in the region.
