Jefferson City Man Charged with Gun-Related Felonies

A Jefferson City man, Latrell Batts, is charged with four felonies, including illegal gun possession, following an altercation at Boulevard Billiards. Police responded late Monday night to reports of a fight in the bar’s parking lot, where witnesses indicated firearms were present. Batts, a convicted felon, was found with a gun in his vehicle upon police arrival, raising serious legal issues regarding his firearm possession.

The case against Batts includes two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. Officers obtained video evidence reportedly showing him brandishing the gun during the incident. He is currently held at the Cole County Jail without bond, as authorities continue their investigation into the fight and gun sightings that night.
