Suspect Arrested in February Shooting Near Pasadena School

Pasadena police have arrested 19-year-old Damian Alexander Saiz in connection with a shooting incident that occurred near Pasadena Memorial High School, where two students were injured. The shooting took place on February 28, just before 3 p.m., during a fight in a parking lot across the street, prompting a significant gathering of students from the school.

Saiz, who was not a student within the Pasadena Independent School District, is facing two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Witnesses reported that the altercation began when two vehicles arrived at the scene, escalating into gunfire. His arrest on Monday followed months of investigation, drawing attention to the ongoing issues of violence in school-related environments.
