AG McCuskey Advocates for Concealed Carry Bill in Congress

West Virginia Attorney General JB McCuskey is rallying support for the “Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act,” which aims to permit individuals with valid concealed carry permits to carry firearms across state lines. In a letter co-authored with 23 other state attorneys general, McCuskey emphasizes the importance of protecting the rights of responsible gun owners as they travel outside their home states.

The letter asserts that the legislation, which has been signed by attorneys general from states including Texas, Florida, and Alabama, specifically protects law-abiding citizens who wish to carry firearms for self-defense. McCuskey advocates for the bill as a measure to enhance safety and security for West Virginians and beyond, stating, “Our constituents should not lose their right to bear arms just because they are crossing a state line.”
