The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) invites dedicated hunters to apply for the esteemed Triple Trophy Award, with applications due by April 10. This unique accolade recognizes hunters who demonstrate versatility by successfully harvesting deer using three distinct methods: modern firearm, muzzleloading firearm, and archery or crossbow within a single season.
Since its inception in 1984, the Triple Trophy Program aims to enhance the health of deer populations in Arkansas, which once faced significant decline. Hunters who meet the criteria will be awarded a commemorative patch and a certificate. With the state expanding its hunting regulations to include new firearms, the award also encourages skill development and provides an opportunity for more hunters to engage in the sport. For more details on how to apply, visit the AGFC’s website.
