Christopher Morris, 35, was arrested within hours of allegedly robbing the Convenient Food Mart in Elyria, Ohio, shortly after asking for a job application. According to the Elyria Police Department, he initially engaged with the store employee before brandishing a handgun and demanding cash, fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
Officers quickly gathered evidence from surveillance footage and witness statements, which led them to an apartment on Ridge Circle. There, authorities found clothing matching the robbery description, cash consistent with what was stolen, and a pellet gun believed to have been used in the crime. Morris now faces a first-degree felony charge of aggravated robbery and awaits arraignment in Lorain County Jail.
