An armed robbery in Aurora Township on Monday evening leaves one man injured, according to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred around 6:36 p.m. when three suspects approached a red Mitsubishi Outlander, demanding money and a cell phone from the driver, a man from Aurora. During the exchange, one suspect fired a weapon, resulting in a non-life-threatening injury to the man’s leg.
Authorities have since deployed police dogs and a drone in an effort to locate the suspects, who fled the scene heading north. While some individuals at the scene have been questioned, the investigation remains active as officials encourage anyone with information to contact the Kane County Investigations Division.
