Authorities have arrested Ruchamo Pierre-Jeune, 26, in connection with an armed robbery at a Checkers restaurant in Kissimmee. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office executed a well-coordinated SWAT operation early yesterday morning, successfully apprehending Pierre-Jeune at a residence near the crime scene without incident.
The robbery occurred on May 20, when a masked individual brandished a firearm and demanded cash from the restaurant staff before fleeing on foot. The sheriff’s office, which has had previous, albeit minor, encounters with Pierre-Jeune, took just over two weeks to locate and arrest him in a case that underscores the challenges of addressing violent crime within the community.
