Deputies in Oconee County are urgently seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who allegedly committed an armed robbery at a McDonald’s early Monday morning. The incident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. when the suspect entered the restaurant on Sandifer Boulevard, threatened employees, and demanded they get on the floor while he stole an undisclosed amount of money.
According to authorities, the suspect allegedly gave the impression of being armed by concealing his hand under his jacket and left the scene heading toward Miracle Circle in Seneca. Fortunately, no employees were injured during the robbery, but the Sheriff’s Office has now turned the investigation over to the Criminal Investigations Bureau, emphasizing the importance of community assistance in solving this crime.
