Two men, Onterrio McDougles, 20, and Zybralian Johnson, 19, are in custody after a viral social media post led authorities to conduct a crackdown in Jackson, Mississippi. The investigation, which began in March, escalated when police discovered that McDougles had posted a photo of himself aiming an assault rifle at an unaware officer, prompting significant concern within the local community.
As officers arrested the suspects on June 6, they uncovered multiple firearms converted to automatic, along with four pounds of marijuana and four vehicles linked to theft and counterfeit checks. Police Chief Joseph Wade emphasized that the suspects had been a significant threat to the Meadow Forest neighborhood, where residents frequently reported armed encounters. McDougles faces serious charges, including making terrorist threats against law enforcement, highlighting the urgent need for action in community safety.
