The 43-year-old was apprehended after reportedly brandishing a firearm and demanding cash from the clerk, just moments before a police officer, who happened to be purchasing drinks, intervened at the scene. Simonovic now faces serious felony charges, including Attempt Armed Robbery with a Firearm and multiple counts of unlawful weapon possession.
The situation escalated quickly, as police discovered two loaded guns on Simonovic, along with numerous other firearms found in his vehicle, raising concerns about the severity of the crime. Remarkably, Simonovic was also found to be wearing body armor and had a blood alcohol content of .147 at the time of his arrest.
