New York State Police have arrested 56-year-old Gerald D. Johnson from Wildomar, California, for allegedly possessing illegal ghost guns. The arrest took place on May 30 after officers responded to reports of a man brandishing a firearm in a Johnstown parking lot, where Johnson reportedly pointed the gun at law enforcement.
Upon investigation, troopers discovered two loaded, unserialized handguns, known as ghost guns, in Johnson’s vehicle, along with a high-capacity magazine and glass smoking devices containing residue of a controlled substance. Johnson is now facing several charges and remains in custody at Fulton County Jail while law enforcement continues to address concerns related to illegal firearms.
