A 66-year-old man holding a concealed carry license is hospitalized after being shot in the leg during a morning shootout in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. The incident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. when the man got into an argument with two individuals near a parked vehicle on West Cullerton Street, who displayed a firearm, leading to an exchange of gunfire.
The man, who possesses a valid firearm owner’s identification (FOID) and concealed carry license (CCL), was treated at Stroger Hospital and is reported to be in good condition. The suspects, who fled the scene in a Lexus sedan, remain unidentified, and police have not made any arrests as Area Three detectives continue their investigation.
