Carl Sturdivant, a 44-year-old Chicago resident, is charged with attempted murder and armed robbery after allegedly assaulting a man during a robbery last year in West Pullman. The violent incident took place on March 23, 2024, where Sturdivant reportedly beat the 23-year-old victim severely before fleeing the scene.
Arrested on Thursday in the 2700 block of South California Avenue, Sturdivant now faces multiple felony counts, including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. His court appearance is scheduled for Friday, as the police continue their investigation into this disturbing crime.
