During a recent DUI traffic stop on Highway 162, California Highway Patrol officers uncovered two loaded firearms and a wide array of narcotics in a vehicle driven by a man already on probation for a previous DUI offense. The incident took place just after midnight when officers pulled over a black Kia Optima, reportedly speeding in the area of Arbol Avenue.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered a polymer “ghost gun,” another stolen firearm, and several types of drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl, along with drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested on multiple charges, including driving under the influence and possession of drugs for sale. This alarming incident highlights ongoing concerns about impaired driving and drug trafficking in the region.
