With a recent plebiscite revealing that 77 percent of residents support a controlled hunt, the council is pushing to expand the hunting area to include densely populated regions like Truro Heights and Lower Truro. They argue that the currently limited hunt, which only removed 38 deer in Truro, is insufficient, and stress the need for a more aggressive approach to manage what they consider unsustainable deer numbers.
