Dayton police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred over the weekend, leaving one man in life-threatening condition. Officers first responded to a shooting on Pointview Avenue early Saturday morning, where a 20-year-old man was found wounded and subsequently hospitalized. Fortunately, police report he is now expected to survive his injuries, while the homicide unit continues to investigate the incident.
On Sunday morning, another shooting unfolded on Arlington Avenue as a motorcycle club hosted a party. A 45-year-old man suffering non-life-threatening injuries arrived at the hospital shortly after the shooting, which was reportedly linked to an altercation at the event. Police have since cited the party organizer for running a nuisance party and arrested a 29-year-old man for misconduct. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to uncover the circumstances surrounding both violent incidents.
