Decatur Launches Annual Waterfowl Hunting Blind Waiting List

The City of Decatur is implementing a new annual waiting list for waterfowl hunting blinds, aiming to create a fairer access system for hunters. Starting July 14 at 10 a.m., names will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, with registration closing at the end of the month.

This initiative allows those on the waiting list to be contacted if blinds become available, ensuring that timely permit payments are crucial for existing hunters. Such measures are set to improve the overall experience for waterfowl enthusiasts in the community, making it easier to secure permits year-on-year.
