A recent operation by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office in Macksville leads to the seizure of multiple firearms, explosives, and over a pound of methamphetamine. The operation, executed early Friday morning, also uncovered a troubling scene involving 17 dogs, three pigs, two pythons, and a salamander, raising significant concerns about animal welfare. Two individuals, a 47-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, have been arrested and are currently facing multiple felony charges, including drug distribution and animal abuse.
Among the charges, one suspect faces nine counts, such as possession of meth and being a felon in possession of a firearm, while the other faces seven charges, with bond amounts set at $200,000 and $150,000 respectively. The operation, which involved collaboration with various local law enforcement agencies, is part of an ongoing investigation that has brought attention to illegal activities in the area.
