David Jose Rubio, a 23-year-old resident of Earlimart, is arrested on suspicion of armed robbery after police linked him to a hold-up at a McFarland gas station on March 17. Officers responded to the incident at approximately 5:29 a.m. and discovered that Rubio, identified as a documented gang member from Tulare County, allegedly used a firearm during the robbery.
After conducting a search warrant at his Earlimart residence, authorities found Rubio attempting to evade capture but ultimately located him hiding nearby. He is now held at the Lerdo Justice Facility on various charges, including robbery and conspiracy, with bail set at $185,000. The McFarland Police Department urges anyone with additional information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
