FBI Offers $5K for Info on North Side Bank Robberies

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect involved in two armed bank robberies that occurred on Monday on Chicago’s North Side. The robberies took place at a Huntington Bank and a Fifth Third Bank, where the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded cash, fleeing the scene on foot without causing any injuries.

Authorities describe the suspect as wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants with white soles, and carrying a red drawstring backpack. The first robbery occurred around 9:30 a.m. and was followed by another just hours later. As the search continues, the FBI urges anyone with information to contact them at 312-421-6700 or via their tips website, stressing that tipsters can remain anonymous.
