Five Illegal Aliens Indicted for Gun Trafficking in Maryland

The U.S. Attorney’s office in Maryland has indicted five illegal aliens on charges related to firearms and ammunition trafficking, part of a significant crackdown known as Operation Take Back America. Among the indicted are Vielman Cabrera Arevalo, 20, from Guatemala, and two others charged with being unlawfully in possession of firearms and ammunition, highlighting growing concerns over illegal gun sales and violent crime.

Notably, Lester Araely Ramos Perez and Milton Leon-Morales, both gang members from Guatemala, are charged with conspiracy to transport over 35 firearms, risking up to 15 years in prison upon conviction. The operation not only underscores critical issues of illegal immigration but also highlights the potential dangers to public safety posed by unregulated firearm access.
