Former Detention Center Worker Arrested for Armed Robbery

Celynn Scott, a 36-year-old former cafeteria cook at the Florence County Detention Center, is charged with armed robbery connected to a February 26 incident at Bandit’s Cash and Carry convenience store. According to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, Scott is accused of entering the store and demanding money while appearing armed and disguised to conceal her identity.

Scott was arrested on Wednesday, the same day she was terminated from her position at the detention center. Records show she is currently held at the Florence County Detention Center without bond. Authorities have yet to release further details about the crime, leaving questions about her motives and the circumstances surrounding the robbery.
