Gun violence has plagued Chicago, peaking at 804 homicides in 2021 and causing a significant public safety concern. However, this initiative incorporates insights from the business world and aims to enhance the skills of supervisors, who are pivotal in daily operations. “We have to invest in the frontline supervisors,” says Chicago police Superintendent Larry Snelling, highlighting the program’s potential to foster community trust while addressing systemic issues in policing.
