Four Arrested for Armed Robbery on MBTA Bus

Watertown Police, in collaboration with MBTA Transit Police, have arrested four suspects following an armed robbery on an MBTA bus that occurred recently. The suspects, including two juveniles, were apprehended in a backyard on Eliot Street shortly after the incident was reported via 911. All four individuals face armed robbery charges, with their identities revealed as David Silva from Brighton and Josue Eduardo Ortega from Allston, alongside the two unnamed juveniles.

Notably, authorities indicate that the suspects were known to the victim, suggesting a targeted rather than random encounter. This detail adds a layer of complexity to the investigation, which remains ongoing as MBTA Transit Police continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the robbery. The Watertown Police praised the swift action of their officers and the effective partnership with transit officials, emphasizing the importance of prompt law enforcement response in maintaining public safety.
