Four Arrested in Cranston Armed Robbery of Teens

Cranston police have arrested four individuals in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on April 14 at Chapel View Plaza. Two juveniles, ages 14 and 16, reported that they were confronted by a group of four males demanding their personal items, including designer clothing and jewelry, during which one suspect brandished a firearm. The suspects fled in a ride-share vehicle, prompting an investigation that utilized social media, surveillance footage, and witness statements.

The arrested suspects include Jaemari Lucas, 20, Jonathan Brito, 18, and Helder Erben Martins, 18, along with a 15-year-old male from Providence. Notably, police recovered stolen high-value items, including a Spider brand sweatshirt and Balenciaga sneakers, which one suspect was wearing at the time of apprehension. Authorities report that additional victims have come forward linking the group to other robberies, and the investigation continues with input from local and state law enforcement agencies.
