Four individuals have been indicted for their roles in an alleged drug trafficking ring in the Hudson Valley, accused of distributing cocaine, counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl, and possessing illegal firearms. The network operated from December 2023 to November 2024, with a 122-count indictment detailing the extensive sale of these dangerous substances across Dutchess, Ulster, and Orange counties.
During the investigation, authorities seized significant quantities of narcotics valued at over $740,000, including 2.5 kilograms of cocaine and thousands of counterfeit pills. The operation also led to the recovery of five handguns, including ghost guns, emphasizing the threats these criminal activities pose to community safety. Attorney General Letitia James highlighted the risks posed by drug traffickers, stating, “Drug traffickers who distribute lethal amounts of opioids put communities throughout our state in danger.”
