A Genesee County man, Peter Celentano, pleads guilty to illegal possession of machine guns, following a significant investigation that uncovered over 200 firearms at his properties. Arrested in October 2024, Celentano faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, with his sentencing set for October 6, 2025.
The investigation involved searches across multiple locations, revealing a cache of 3D-printed gun components and a variety of firearm parts. Notably, two of the lower receivers he provided were modified to include a “third pin hole,” classifying them as machine guns. Authorities have also recovered additional firearm parts discarded in the Erie Canal during the probe, highlighting the extent of the illegal operation.
