Authorities in Franklin County have seized multiple “ghost guns” and illegal drugs following a search of an apartment in Guilford Township. The search, conducted on May 20, uncovered two unserialized 9mm pistols along with over 500 grams of various narcotics, including cocaine, methamphetamine, and ecstasy, leading to criminal charges against 33-year-old Giovanie Alvira-Garcia.
Police discovered additional drugs in Alvira-Garcia’s vehicle while he was apprehended on the property. Given his prior drug conviction, he faces serious felony and misdemeanor charges related to firearm possession and drug distribution, highlighting ongoing concerns regarding homemade firearms and drug trafficking in the area.
