Grifton Man Arrested on Drug and Gun Charges

A Grifton man, Joel Dajuan Swindell, 31, is facing serious legal consequences after law enforcement conducted a search of his home on Creek Shore Drive, uncovering heroin and firearms. Swindell is charged with two counts of trafficking heroin, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, and possession of firearms by a felon, among other offenses.

Following his arrest, Swindell was taken to the magistrate’s office where he received a secured bond of $750,000 and is currently in custody. The police action not only highlights ongoing concerns about drug trafficking in the area but also sheds light on the broader issues of firearm possession within the community.
