Holyoke Police have arrested three individuals following a crackdown on illegal activities on Elm Street, where they seized two illegal firearms along with substantial quantities of heroin and crack-cocaine. The operation unfolded Sunday night when officers responded to complaints of trespassing at 173 Elm Street, confronting four individuals, three of whom are now facing multiple charges, including drug possession and weapons offenses.
The police recovered 27 vials of crack-cocaine and discovered one suspect, Emmanuel Rivera, discarding a firearm while attempting to flee. Another suspect, Eugenio Rivera-Narvaez, was found with a loaded large capacity firearm and significant amounts of narcotics. These arrests highlight ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug-related crime and improve community safety in the area.
