Huntington Man Sentenced for Illegal Gun Sales

Timothy Ryan Wolfe, a 39-year-old man from Huntington, has been sentenced to three years of federal probation for illegally dealing firearms. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of West Virginia reports that Wolfe sold 11 firearms to a confidential informant in 2024, all without the required Federal Firearms License.

Prosecutors emphasize the seriousness of his actions, noting that Wolfe not only advertised gun sales on social media but also sold two unregistered short-barreled rifles. This case highlights ongoing concerns about firearm regulations and illegal sales in the region.
