The Illinois Deer Classic kicks off its fourth year at the Peoria Civic Center, featuring more than 200 exhibits dedicated to hunting outfitters, gear, and seminars. Among the highlights are the popular big buck and shed antler contests, which have attracted around 200 entries statewide and offer roughly 70 awards for participants.
Show producer John Bunge notes the event’s growth, highlighting increased attendance and an expanding array of exhibitors. This year’s show includes a new wildlife animal exhibit designed for children, reinforcing the notion that hunting is a family activity. Tickets are available for adults at $10, with discounts for youths and free admission for kids under nine. The event runs through the weekend with varied hours each day.
