For years, Chuck’s has faced scrutiny for the high volume of guns traced back to criminal activity, with a report revealing that approximately 1,000 weapons sold from the shop ended up involved in crimes within just three years of purchase. This closure marks a pivotal moment in a long history of protests and media attention surrounding the store, as local activists had frequently rallied against its operations since at least 2007.
