The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) has opened its application period for special hunts, offering limited access to some of the state’s most unique hunting locations from July 1 to July 29, 2025. This program aims to provide hunters with opportunities to explore areas not typically open for hunting, including a variety of species such as deer, upland game, waterfowl, and furbearers.
Both residents and non-residents can apply for these unique hunting experiences, which are designed for various groups, including youth, novice hunters, and those with disabilities. Successful applicants will be randomly selected in early August and notified via email, allowing them to enjoy an outdoor experience with limited competition. To learn more about this exclusive program and to apply, visit the KDWP’s official site for special hunts.
