Delaware State Police Master Cpl. Lewis Briggs III highlighted a significant 56% drop in shooting incidents and an 18% decrease in burglaries, showcasing effective strategies of Troop 5 in partnership with local police departments.

State Representative Danny Short emphasized the importance of community education to combat gun violence, particularly among youth. He aims to continue these discussions and improve public safety, pointing to the need for ongoing cooperation among law enforcement agencies to effectively share resources and strategies. Delaware State Police has also introduced a new crime map on their website to enhance public awareness.
