Lawsuit Claims Musk’s PAC Owed Signers $5M

A new federal lawsuit accuses Elon Musk’s America PAC of failing to pay swing state voters who signed a pro-Trump petition ahead of the 2024 election, potentially involving over 100 individuals collectively owed more than $5 million. The plaintiffs include former canvassers from states critical to Donald Trump’s campaign and claim the PAC promised payments of $47 to $100 for signing the petition and referring others, a promise they allege was broken.

The lawsuit, filed in Pennsylvania, cites a previous initiative that raised concerns about election law violations, where Musk’s PAC began offering daily lottery-like awards to registered voters. As the case unfolds, it could shed light on the PAC’s fundraising practices and impact on voter mobilization strategies in key battleground states. A spokesperson for America PAC insists they are committed to fulfilling payment obligations to petition signers, stating they have already disbursed tens of millions of dollars to canvassers.
