Lexington Shop Supports Gun Violence Victims’ Families

Nick Cooper, owner of the Toy Factory in Lexington, Kentucky, designs customized casket finishes for families affected by gun violence. With over 34 years in the business, Cooper’s work not only includes airbrushing and clear coat finishes but also extends to easing the emotional burden on those grieving their loved ones.

Due to a concerning rise in gun violence, Cooper reports an increase in the number of caskets requiring his specialized services, handling up to five per month. He prioritizes the needs of grieving families by offering these services at no charge, asking only for donations to his non-profit, Project Kids 1st, which supports local children. This community-driven initiative reflects Cooper’s deep commitment to providing solace during such a tragic time.
