A man has been arrested in Porterville, California, after allegedly pointing an assault rifle at a woman and her family while trespassing on her property. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, prompting the woman to lock herself inside her home out of fear before contacting the police. Officers quickly apprehended the suspect, identified as 34-year-old David Hager, who was found still armed with the loaded rifle.
Further investigation revealed that Hager, a convicted felon, was under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of the confrontation. He now faces multiple charges, including assault with a firearm and possession of a firearm while under the influence. Hager is currently held in custody with a bail set at $75,000, as authorities encourage anyone with additional information to reach out to the Porterville Police Department.
