Man Arrested for Shooting Pet Pig with Illegal Firearm

A Concord man, Marc Reszka, 50, is arrested after shooting his pet pig with an illegal firearm and subsequently attempting to flee from authorities. Reszka reportedly used one of the 11 firearms found in his possession, despite a protective order prohibiting him from owning guns, leading to his arrest on several charges, including criminal firearm possession and resisting arrest.

Responding to a call from a veterinary representative who reported Reszka was upset after “euthanizing” his pig, deputies discovered the animal’s body and evidence of blood throughout his home. The situation escalated when Reszka fled into the woods and had to be subdued with a taser before being taken into custody for evaluation and then transported to the Erie County Holding Center.
