A 23-year-old Newport News man, Rayqwon Brooks, dies from multiple gunshot wounds sustained during a domestic dispute in Hampton early Friday morning. Police arrived at a residence on Sharon Court around 12:47 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting, where they found Brooks suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigations reveal that an argument between Brooks and a woman escalated, leading to another man opening fire. Brooks was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after. The Hampton Police Major Crimes Unit is actively investigating the incident and has identified all parties involved, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
