A 21-year-old man from Linneus, Nicholas D. McGuire, is arrested and charged with armed robbery following an incident in downtown Houlton last month. Allegedly brandishing a weapon, McGuire confronted two residents on Court Street, demanding money before fleeing the scene. Police responded to the call early in the morning on March 22, but the suspect initially evaded capture.
After a thorough investigation, authorities issued an arrest warrant for McGuire, who was apprehended on April 1 near Franklin Avenue. He is now facing a Class A robbery charge, which could result in a prison sentence of up to 30 years if convicted. Meanwhile, a juvenile accomplice was also taken into custody due to outstanding warrants, with police stating that the investigation is still ongoing.
