Man Tosses Gun Off Staten Island Ferry, Arrested by NYPD

The incident occurred on March 11, 2025, after police were alerted to a man with a gun on the Spirit of America ferry, leading to the man’s swift apprehension following the toss.

The suspect, Nathaniel Tabor, 24, faces multiple charges, including criminal possession of a loaded weapon and tampering with physical evidence. Following his arrest, the NYPD scuba team recovered the discarded firearm during a dive, with police emphasizing the need to preserve evidence for a potential investigation. Tabor has pleaded not guilty and awaits further court proceedings.
