Midland Man Sentenced to 30 Years for Multiple Crimes

Job Jasso Jr., a 27-year-old resident of Midland, is sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after being convicted of child pornography production, drug trafficking, and firearm offenses. His arrest followed a high-speed chase on March 13, 2024, during which he abandoned a 17-year-old female passenger, leading to the discovery of explicit materials involving the minor.

Authorities executed a search warrant at Jasso’s hotel room, where he was found with the victim, along with firearms and over 63 grams of fentanyl pills. The case, part of the DOJ’s Project Safe Childhood initiative, highlights the serious legal consequences of child exploitation and drug-related crimes, as Jasso also faces a restitution order of $55,000.
