NJ Duo Arrested with Ghost Gun on NY Thruway

New York State Police arrest a New Jersey pair after a routine traffic stop on the New York State Thruway reveals a loaded ghost gun. Ashley R. Clair and Adreon S. Clair, both 26, were pulled over for a vehicle violation in Plattekill when officers conducted a search that uncovered the untraceable firearm, which lacks identifying serial numbers.

Ghost guns, increasingly popular among criminals, can be easily manufactured at home or modified to remove serial numbers, making them hard to trace. Following the discovery, the Clairs are charged with felony possession of a weapon and are being held, awaiting arraignment in Ulster County court.
