No NFL Discipline for Jameson Williams’ Gun Incident

Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams will not face any NFL discipline related to an October traffic stop in which a handgun was discovered. The league has confirmed that no suspension or fines will be imposed as both the NFL and the city of Detroit opted not to pursue charges, given that Williams had a permit for the gun, albeit not the required concealed carry permit at the time of the incident.

This news comes as a relief for Williams, who is already navigating his past challenges in the league, including prior suspensions for performance-enhancing drugs and gambling violations. Following the incident, he has obtained the necessary concealed carry permit, allowing him to legally possess the firearm moving forward.
