A local nonprofit, FEDUP (Families Expecting Deliverance Using Prayer), is celebrating its 20th anniversary of providing crucial support to families affected by gun violence. Founded by women who experienced personal loss, the organization has evolved from small gatherings in living rooms to a robust network that offers vital resources, advocacy, and a sense of community to grieving families.

Co-founder Renea Penn Taylor emphasizes the importance of shared experiences in healing, noting that through their support system, families previously shrouded in silence have found solace and strength in one another. The event stands as both a commemoration of their past efforts and a commitment to continue helping those in crisis.
