This year, all Pennsylvania residents are guaranteed an antlerless deer license, provided they purchase it before July 14. Starting June 23, residents can buy their licenses online or in-person, ensuring they can hunt in their preferred Wildlife Management Unit without the usual uncertainty.
The new policy, announced by Game Commission Executive Director Steve Smith, allows for greater flexibility for resident hunters, giving them three weeks to secure their license before nonresidents can buy one. With general hunting licenses priced at $20.97 for residents and antlerless licenses at $6.97, this change aims to enhance local participation in Pennsylvania’s hunting tradition.
