Police Arrest Man in Shooting Involving Twin Daughters

Metro Police have arrested 36-year-old Wykevion Fortney for allegedly shooting a 45-year-old father while he carried his 7-month-old twin daughters on Nolensville Pike. The incident escalated after Fortney drove into the victim, leading to a verbal altercation before he pulled out a firearm and shot the man in the hip.

The father fortunately sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and both children were unharmed. Fortney faces serious charges including attempted murder and felony gun possession, and he is currently linked to another homicide case. His arrest was facilitated by a tip to Crimestoppers following the February 8 incident, highlighting community vigilance in addressing violent crime.
